Little Acres Farm – Raw Goat Milk Subscription Policy
Our raw goat milk subscriptions operate on a monthly advance-payment system. Subscriptions allow us to responsibly plan feed, labor, and herd care while providing consistent access for our customers.
Because milk production depends on animal health, weather, and seasonal factors, the following policies ensure fairness and sustainability.
Milk Quality & Standards
We take pride in producing clean, high-quality raw goat milk using careful milking, handling, and storage practices.
Little Acres Farm is Raw Milk Institute (RAWMI) listed, meaning we follow sanitation protocols and routine testing standards widely regarded as the gold standard for raw milk production.
Subscription Terms
Subscriptions reserve a portion of our monthly milk supply.
Subscriptions are monthly and paid in advance
Invoices are sent on the 1st of each month
Subscription price: $10 per ½ gallon
Walk-in price (if available): $12 per ½ gallon
Subscriptions renew monthly unless canceled before the next billing cycle
Subscriptions cannot be paused, skipped, or held once the month begins
Milk Priority
Households with infants who rely on raw milk receive first priority.
If supply is limited, milk is fulfilled in this order:
Infant households
Active subscribers
Walk-in customers (if milk remains)
Pickup Policy
Milk must be picked up during designated pickup times.
Milk must be picked up within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup day
Customers may send someone else to pick up their milk
Missed pickups are forfeited and do not roll over
Once milk leaves our care, Little Acres Farm is not responsible for handling or storage.
Jars, Handling & Storage
Milk is sold in ½-gallon glass mason jars.
Jar and lid fee: $5 one-time per jar
If you bring your own clean ½-gallon mason jar and lid, you may exchange it and the $5 fee will be waived
Returned jars must be clean, washed, and fully dried
Dirty jars incur a $3 cleaning fee
Lost or unreturned jars require a $5 replacement fee
Frozen milk, when available, is sold in quart-size freezer bags, which freeze and thaw best. Goat milk has naturally smaller fat globules and a uniform structure, so it maintains its texture and flavor after freezing.
Lay bags flat while freezing for easier storage and faster thawing
Thaw slowly in the refrigerator
Gently shake or swirl after thawing to recombine the cream
Proper Handling & Transport
Raw milk should be kept cold at all times. Customers are responsible for proper handling once milk leaves Little Acres Farm.
Bring a cooler or insulated bag when picking up milk
Milk should be refrigerated as soon as possible at 34–38°F
Keep milk out of direct sunlight and heat
Always use clean jars and lids
Little Acres Farm is not responsible for milk quality once it leaves our care.
Refund Policy
Due to the perishable nature of raw milk, no refunds or credits are given for missed pickups, schedule conflicts, or unused milk.
